Royal Opera House
During its season, which extends from September to April, the Royal Opera House Muscat presents the most prominent international operatic performances, musical plays and songs, in a breathtaking architectural edifice. The design of the house combines Omani authenticity with contemporary style, and this is evident in the use of a mixture of marble and wood in the form of traditional drinkers in the halls of the house, in addition to the calm colors that give the place more spaciousness and utmost luxury, and the carefully designed outdoor garden completes the scene of dazzling interior beauty. A bridge extends across the street to connect the Royal Opera Complex and the House of Musical Arts adjacent to the main complex, which was recently opened to be a vital facility to host more international and local artistic and musical works, and to contribute to community participation.
